Leader and leadership development

Our most recent work is with large organisations scoping, designing, developing and facilitating extended leadership development programmes for mid- to senior level leaders.


Leadership development – coaching skills and collaborative conversations -

 Gail facilitates a practical coaching skills programme for leaders from front line through to executive level, embedding skills that drive engagement and lift performance. This programme is being rolled out through two organisations as a key part of a culture change initiative intended to lift engagement and build a high performing team environment.

In one organisation the follow-on programme which addresses the need to have difficult conversations is now also being embedded in the culture.


Change management - 


From March 2010 through to October 2012 Gail Reichert was an integral partner with the Board and leadership team of a national not for profit organisation as they transitioned from a federated model with 38 branches around New Zealand to a unified national model. She was involved in and contributed to in-depth planning for engaging with stakeholders and members, delivering on that plan, scoping and drafting new constitutional documents, drafting plain English communications explaining changes to members, managing the project plan, reporting to the Board and being a sounding board for the President thinking through complex and circuitous processes, relationships and structures. The organisation successfully achieved the unification in October 2012.


 Executive and leadership coaching -


Gail is currently working with a range of mid- to senior-level managers to support career aspirations, skill development, behaviour and attitudinal change. This is, in some instances, supported by diagnostics and assessments that provide sound points of reference for development and improvement.

Team effectiveness -


Gail has worked with teams whose productivity and effectiveness is compromised by a lack of communication and interpersonal skills. She has also helped with structure and process issues that may restrict potential within teams.

Strategic planning -

Developing, facilitating and guiding executive teams to think strategically when planning organisational direction. Gaining commitment to strategic plans through translation into deliverable action plans, value statements and structured thinking.

Conferences and workshops -


Gail has presented papers and workshops to conferences, including International Society for Performance Improvement (USA), Human Resources Institute of New Zealand, New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, NZ Institute of Management as well as individual organisations and businesses.
